How it works

Meet the Paytient Card.

Paytient offers an interest-free way for your patients and employees to pay the out-of-pocket cost of care. Members simply swipe their Paytient cards and effortlessly turn healthcare bills into a personalized repayment plan with no interest or fees.

With Paytient, you can help consumers get the care they need while attracting new commercial volume to your health system. Paytient’s Health Payment Accounts can help you:

  • Get paid in full at the time of service — health systems are not responsible for unpaid balances.
  • Grow commercial market share for your ancillary care sites.
  • Increase domestic utilization of your providers.
  • Boost recruitment and retention by providing an innovative employee benefit.
  • Save time and money by reducing collections.
  • Improve the patient experience by alleviating financial stress.

FAQs

Still have questions? We’ve got the answers.

What happens if someone doesn’t pay their Paytient card balance?

Paytient does not hold the provider or employer responsible for unpaid balances. We assume all risk and work with the member to resolve any balance due.

Is there any IT or software integration?

There is no required software integration for providers.

Can health system employees use Paytient?

Absolutely! Your employees can also access Paytient Health Payment Accounts and benefit from the same stellar service you offer to patients.

Is there a credit check?

No, Paytient is able to issue cards without a credit check. Cardholders must complete a brief questionnaire when they activate their account. This assessment compares the employee’s income to expenses to ensure Paytient meets all federal and state regulatory requirements.

Is there training involved?

No training is necessary. Our Health Payment Accounts run on Visa cards to reduce any labor burden for providers. Paytient provides employers and employees with customer support for any questions that arise.
