What is the Medicare Prescription Payment Plan?
The new Medicare Prescription Payment Plan is an optional program that empowers anyone with a Medicare drug plan or Medicare health plan with drug coverage to spread out their prescription expenses over time.
Opt in to pay your out-of-pocket prescription drug costs in monthly installments spread over the rest of the year. You’ll pay $0 when you pick up medication at the pharmacy.
The program goes into effect January 1, 2025 and beneficiaries can opt in starting October 15, 2024. Sign up online, by phone or by mail with the insurance plan that provides your prescription coverage.
